On Friday 4 February, 2011 24 of our most talented year 9 artists took part in a Digital Media Workshop, run by Tony Minnion from a company called the "Cloth of Gold".
The students used Photoshop to create some fantastic images of imaginary landscapes by incorporated patterns and textures from the environment and also adding photographs of themeselves in various poses. The day was very successful in that these wonderful students all produced highly original work which they could be proud of, as well as learning new digital technologies. Tony Minnion is a successful artist who has produced large-scale work (brightly coloured and exciting banners) which have been exhibited at St Paul's Cathedral and BBC. |
